How to Get a FactSet Account

Step 1: Register as a Student

Go to the FactSet Academic Student Registration page and fill in the form:

• Email: Use your @students.uu.nl email address
• University Name: Universiteit Utrecht
• Academic Degree: Select the appropriate option
• Expected Graduation Date: Use 08/YYYY (August of the year you graduate), e.g. 08/2026

Step 2: Receive Your Credentials

You will receive your FactSet user ID and password by email. Check your spam folder if you do not see it.

Step 3: Access FactSet

There are two options to use FactSet:

Option 1: Solis Workspace (remote desktop)

FactSet is installed on Solis Workspace. After activating your FactSet ID, open FactSet there and enter your credentials.

Option 2: Download FactSet on your own computer

Download FactSet from https://www.factset.com/download and choose General Release.

• Includes a very useful Excel Plugin
• Not available for Apple (sorry)

Important Notes

• Even after receiving a confirmation email, FactSet might need some time to give full access rights (verification of the UU license).
