Filings & Events

Filings & Events section of LSEG provides the following data:

  • Company Events — LSEG’s company‑events database covers market‑moving events for ~35,000 companies across ~120 countries: earnings announcements, conference calls, guidance updates, investor days, M&A and capital‑markets events, ratings changes, and macro/political events linked to issuers. Each event carries structured tags (type, company, date/time, time zone, region, instruments affected) and often links to transcripts, presentations, audio, or video.
  • Company Filings — TLSEG maintains a massive text‑and‑metadata collection of regulatory and exchange filings: annual and quarterly reports, registration statements, prospectuses, municipal‑bond documents, M&A filings, CSR/sustainability reports, and ownership filings. Coverage spans 130+ developed and emerging markets, with complete EDGAR and SEDAR collections, up to 55 years of history, and tens of millions of documents classified by jurisdiction, document type, issuer, and date.
  • Advance Filings — On top of the core filings archive, LSEG offers advanced retrieval and analytics capabilities: 1) Fine‑grained search over document text and metadata (issuer attributes, topics, accounting items, risk factors). 2) Point‑in‑time linking of filings to fundamentals, estimates, and events so you can study disclosure effects, accounting changes, and regulatory responses over long histories.
  • Signal Search — Here Signal Search focuses on signals derived from events and filings: 1) Events‑based and filings‑based indicators such as earnings‑surprise flags, guidance changes, restatements, unusual filing activity, or specific language patterns (e.g., risk wording) computed from LSEG’s events and filings datasets. 2) Each signal has historical time‑series and metadata so you can back‑test how different types of events or disclosures relate to subsequent price, volume, or risk moves.
  • Dividends — LSEG tracks dividend and distribution events across global equities and some funds: declaration dates, ex‑dates, record and payment dates, cash or stock dividend amounts, currency, gross/net distinctions, and special versus regular dividends. Historical dividend time‑series are fully corporate‑action‑aware and keyed to instruments, supporting total‑return calculations, yield measures, and income‑forecasting.
  • Corporate Actions — Corporate‑actions data capture the full universe of security‑level events—over 50 equity event types (splits, rights issues, tender offers, spin‑offs, mergers, symbol/ISIN changes, etc.) and 20+ debt events (redemptions, calls, conversions, coupon changes, restructurings). For each event LSEG provides effective dates, terms, factors, options, election details, and downstream adjustments, with extensive history and standardized formats (ISO and non‑ISO), supporting trade processing, index maintenance, and accurate historical price series.
