FactSet’s Sectors and Insights section provides sector-specific workspaces that bring together specialized data, assets, relationships, and trends for major industries. It is designed to let users move beyond generic company data and analyze banks, insurers, energy infrastructure, healthcare pipelines, media networks, mining properties, real estate portfolios, and technology ecosystems using tailored sector datasets and tools.

Sectors and Insights section of FactSet provides the following data:

  • Banks — Regulatory and balance-sheet data on banks, including deposit and loan rates, transactional activity, and industry trends, along with asset maps that visualize banking assets and market dynamics across institutions and geographies.

  • Energy & Utilities — Assets, financial and regulatory information, prices, supply and demand data, storage metrics, and weather-related variables for the energy and utilities market, covering generation assets, pipelines, transmission networks, and utility operations.

  • Healthcare — Drug-level and healthcare data including clinical development pipelines, trial status, catalysts, deal activity, earnings highlights, and other metrics required to track pharma, biotech, and broader healthcare-sector developments.

  • Insurance — Detailed insurance datasets spanning investment portfolios, lines of business, operating metrics, and profitability at subsidiary, group, and industry levels, supporting analysis of underwriting, claims, and capital efficiency.
